After three days of expo and conference, INTERGEO 2022, the leading event for the international geospatial community, came to a successful close last Thursday. Let’s see how it was.
On October 18-20, Essen gathered nearly all geospatial enthusiasts across industries and geography.
This year, the expo gathered 457 exhibitors from 31 countries and around 14000 trade visitors from 102 countries. And the international lecture program included 120 speakers presenting for over 1000 conference participants.
“The results clearly exceed our expectations. We are very pleased to finally be able to bring many people together again with the live event. People seized the opportunity to cultivate their network, make new contacts, and experience live solutions from the geospatial industry. This year’s INTERGEO is proof: we are moving into the post-pandemic era.”
Prof. Dr. Hansjörg Kutterer, the President of DVW e.V. (the INTERGEO organizer company)
Speaking of emerging trends outlined at INTERGEO 2022, the focal points included Smart Cities, Building Information Modelling (BIM), sustainability, mobility, and climate change. Remarkably, the organizers placed a particular focus on Digital Twins, as they provide fact-based data for sustainable decisions. That is elementary, especially today in an environment of high complexity, as noted by organizers. Today, digital twins serve as the tools to unite static or dynamic, real-time information and to tackle critical challenges as a reflection of reality.
The Intetics Team emphasized the intensive professional exchange and the overall positive networking atmosphere of the event. This year, Sergey Kizyan, Intetics Delivery Director; Alexander Tretyakov, Business Development Director; Anastasiia Hrinchenko, Senior Software Business Consultant; and Irina Kukhareva, Research and Engagement Manager, invited clients and partners to the booth J1.026 (Hall 1). Here they discussed solutions for UAV aerial imagery or LiDAR data processing, Point Cloud, AI/ML algorithms development, 3D Mesh, Digital Twins systems, and more.
Expo visitors discovered the benefits of custom software solutions for processing geospatial information in projects of different domains. Besides, Intetics experts shared insights on forming efficient development teams for GIS or data processing projects at any stage or requirements. Please see photos of our dear clients and the team from our booth.
“INTERGEO 2022 clearly showed the rapid development of the Geospatial industry. It was great to see, touch, and test the new drones, sensors, and other next-gen robotic hardware and software products exhibited at the expo. Therefore, the event’s overall organization level deserves special mention. We’ll definitely come back to INTERGEO 2023.
Except for the participants from the European countries, we met many people from Canada, Colombia, Australia, South Korea, and Tunisia. The organizers made a real international celebration of trends for the future of the Geo industry. Besides, the event was very productive. Many fruitful meetings, both planned and not, were held. It was perfectly seen how people missed face-to-face communication after around two years of digital format and enjoyed offline networking and live discussion.”
Sergey Kizyan, Delivery Director
Thanks to the organizers for three days of a fantastic journey in full halls fueled by great conversations, disruptive innovations, and know-how. And we would also like to thank all our existing and potential clients and partners for catching up in our booth in person. We hope you enjoyed your visit to Essen.
Looking forward to seeing you in the next-year INTERGEO, which will take place in Berlin in October 2023. And of course, there’s no need to wait that long: you can contact us now. Let’s talk and discuss your geospatial projects and ways to accomplish them fast and efficiently.
