The last quarterly meeting of the IAOP Chicago Chapter was held on January 22, 2009 at DePaul University in downtown Chicago. The meeting was attended by over 55 outsourcing professionals involved in outsourcing as customers, providers and advisors. The main themes on the agenda were the lifecycle of a deal and overview of emerging outsourcing locations. Alex Golod, Managing Partner of Intetics Co., delivered presentation: “Ukraine: more than another outsourcing destination”. It highlighted the latest social and economic trends in the country, discussed why Ukraine is becoming a hot outsourcing destination based on its industry growth, its access to a skilled well educated talent pool, and the government support. It was followed by a case study from Doug Grimsted, CEO of Aginity, explaining why they have chosen Ukraine for their complex IT projects, and how they have effectively outsourced work to Intetics in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
