GIS Day Celebration

2012-08-12, by qwr

At the end of November 2012 Intetics Co. held its fourth annual GIS Day celebration. The celebration was held to commemorate the world-wide GIS Day. To mark the growing importance of GIS, Intetics even held two separate celebrations.

The first evening was held at the Intetics Kharkiv office. It was meant for employees to share their knowledge with colleagues as well as discuss the role of GIS in the energy sector in the Ukraine. Alexey Borodulin started the evening by explaining the role of GIS for energy transportation and energy carriers; then Alena Achkasova presented the role of wind energy in the contemporary use of natural resources. Finally, Galina Uvarova discussed the trends and prospects of the energy industry in the near future.

The second event was of a much more festive nature. Held at the Kharkiv office as well, the event focused on recognizing and celebrating achievements and milestones of the past year. The best employees were recognized and future goals and prospects were discussed. Intetics is proud to be one of the chief players promoting the development of GIS in Ukraine and is more than ready to continue this initiative. If you have any ideas or questions about potential GIS related projects, training, seminars, or master classes, contact us and we will happily help you with the organization of similar events in your area.
