Our History

Year: 1995

The company is established in Minsk, Belarus, by Boris Kontsevoi starting with five software engineers and an idea to amaze the world with almighty programming capabilities … while having only one email account with CompuServe accessed via a dial-up modem on a black and white laptop by dialing a host in Berlin, Germany (there was no Internet access in Belarus yet). In two years, the company grows to 30 engineers. At that time, the company works for American life insurance companies through a partner in the USA, developing software systems for AIG, Travelers, Allstate, and many other similar companies.

Year: 1997

Company headquarters are moved to Prague, Czech Republic, in order to provide enhanced services and stay in close proximity to the customers. Managing internet connections becomes much easier. About ten most advanced software engineers and their families migrate to Czech Republic from Belarus to form a backbone of the new European office.

Year: 1999-2000

On a wave of the World Wide Web boom and the burning desire to do “oh, so cool and modern” web development, a new brand name, Web Space Station®, is introduced. The company becomes one of the first professional web development companies in Eastern Europe and despite the collapse of the dot-com bubble acquires a lot of new clients worldwide.

Year: 2001-2002

The company earns multiple Web awards for advanced web design and development.

Year: 2002-2003

The company wins Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award in Central Europe two years in a row.

Year: 1997-2003

The company of 30 engineers grows organically to 80 people, acquiring its first certifications and forming its first industry alliances. Amidst the outsourcing boom and the determination of industry analytics to make this “thing” bigger, our custom software development company suddenly becomes an “outsourcing company”.

Year: 2003

Company headquarters are moved to the United States. The Web Space Station® brand name does not survive the move – though the star-filled goals are not quite forgotten. The company is renamed Intetics, with a star above the ’I’. The word is an amalgam of the words “Internet, Technology, and Ethics.

Year: 2004

The concept, service, and a business model of the “Offshore Dedicated Team®” is pioneered by Intetics. At the time, Google produced only four links when searching for “offshore dedicated team” … all about offshore oil drilling. Nowadays every other outsourcing company offers “offshore dedicated teams”, despite the fact that it is a registered trademark of Intetics.

Year: 2005

In addition to the development center in Minsk, Belarus, a second center is established in Kharkiv, Ukraine, to diversify the company’s offshore base and enhance access to human resources.

Year: 2006-2007

Development Centers obtain the ISO 9001 certifications. Software development process is mature.

Year: 2003-2007

Intetics forms multiple industry alliances and participates, typically at the “Gold” level, in Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, etc. partner programs.

Year: 2007

Intetics is included in the Global Outsourcing Top 100 Companies list compiled by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) and the Fortune Magazine, and into the Top 100 Outsourcing Service Providers list by the Global Services magazine. The company maintains these prestigious ratings for subsequent years.

Year: 2003-2008

The company witnesses an organic expansion from 80 to 200 people. This places the company growth rate at higher than average in the outsourcing industry.

Year: 2006-2009

Multiple representative offices are established worldwide. A system integration practice is started in Ukraine for local clients.

Year: 2009

Intetics starts a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) line of business by setting up a sizeable Offshore Production Center (OPC) for one of the leading digital map production companies.

Year: 2009

Boris Kontsevoi, Founder and President of the company, receives the Business Ledger’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for the strong long-term potential and the company’s impressive growth demonstrated over the five-year period from 2003 to 2008.

Year: 2010

Intetics wins the 2010 European IT Excellence Award, which recognizes best practices in customer solutions across Europe. The company’s fifteenth anniversary is also highlighted by Intetics being included into numerous reputable lists of leading companies such as Global Services 100, Global Outsourcing 100, Software 500, CRN 100, and Inc. 5000.

Boris Kontsevoi, President of Intetics, acquires the Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP) designation from the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) underlining company’s ability to be a leading practitioner in the field.

Year: 2010

Intetics obtains the ISO 27001 certification for its data security practices. Achievement of this highly coveted certification confirms a high degree of excellence of Intetics’ Information Security Management System (ISMS). The Company is now in possession of both ISO 9001 and 27001 standards, guaranteeing high quality and data security for its clients.

Year: 2011

Intetics further develops its Offshore Dedicated Team® concept introducing a unique Remote In-Sourcing® service model. The company starts a local consulting practice in the North American market.

Year: 2011-2012

Closer to stars than ever before, Intetics is ranked the #1 ‘Rising Star’ company in the highly respected Global Outsourcing 100 list two years in a row.

Year: 2012

Intetics opens its third Development Center in Kiev, Ukraine.

Year: 2009-2012

Company continues to extend its staff from 200 to 400 people.

Year: 2013

Intetics become 3 times #1 Outsourcing Rising Star in IAOP Top 100 and 6 times Inc5000 Honoree.
